Welcome to First Baptist Church of South Glens Falls!
Whether you are visiting for the very first time, returning after time away, exploring faith, or looking for a church family to call home, I want you to know something from the very beginning: You matter to God, and you matter to us.
Our prayer is that when you walk through our doors you will experience more than a church service. We pray you experience the presence of God, the love of Christ, authentic community, and a place where you can grow, belong, and become part of something larger than yourself.
At First Baptist Church, we believe God has called us to a simple but powerful vision:
One Mission • Five Teams • One Culture. This is more than a ministry model.
It is a pathway. A pathway where lives are transformed by Jesus Christ and people discover that they are not merely spectators in God’s Kingdom—they are called to participate in His mission.
At the center of everything we do is one life-changing truth: Forgiven because of Jesus. Sent like Jesus. Because Christ has transformed us, we now live to help others encounter that same hope.
As you become part of the First Baptist family, we invite you into a journey that moves from: Community → Conversion → Growth → Maturity → Mission
- We begin by building relationships and walking together.

Perhaps He is leading you toward the Evangelism Team, sharing the hope of Christ and helping people discover the love of Jesus.
Perhaps your heart is drawn toward the Care Team, walking beside others with compassion, encouragement, and Christ-centered support.
Perhaps you are passionate about helping people grow through the Discipleship Team, guiding others toward spiritual maturity and transformation.
Or perhaps God is stirring your heart toward the Worship Team, helping lead people into His presence and sending them out for His mission.
The beauty of this vision is simple: Everyone has a place. Everyone has a purpose. Everyone can be part of the mission.
My hope and prayer is that as you explore First Baptist Church, you will discover not only a church family—but a place to grow, serve, belong, and help advance the Kingdom of God.
